Pop-metal is still far away in this album. Sure, they are no longer the thrashers they used to be, but this remains pure heavy metal, and the touch of hard rock does not take anything away from this album. I'm sorry that Metallica made such a choice, but it is forgivable for the quality of the work. Let's put it this way: if they had maintained the same level in the following albums, we would have little to reproach them, unfortunately the aftermath is just a disappointing story. Good review, but it is true that it seems a little confused....
