It's incredible the kreatoriana evolution (from albums like Pleasure to Kill to Endorama). Still, their return to thrash has certainly not been disastrous; just think of Enemy of God, which is definitely better than stuff like St. Anger. In any case, beautiful review.

If you’re referring to Brutal, Death, or extreme metal in general, you might as well stop. Where are we going to end up? We’re going to end up with you continuing to listen to the music you like, and others will do the same. Not exactly a brutal end, don’t you think? What’s the point of insulting a genre a priori? The music exists, I assure you, and I don’t think I’m crazy. The review is not really “detailed.”

the group from which they came, Metallica, built much of the success of the first (and even the second) album on the genius, because it is genius, of Mustaine who (like him or not) is one of the key figures of Thrash Metal. Tracks like "phantom lord," "jump in the fire," "the four horsemen," and the exceptional "metal militia," perhaps the best of "kill 'em all," make you understand that Mustaine was not just an extra, but a very talented musician. Megadeth did not achieve success on the backs of Metallica. They found success because they brought a unique style to thrash. So it is true that Metallica is a really cool band, but for me, Megadeth did not build their fortune on them.
