Lana Del Rey Ultraviolence
Voto:
I have never listened to a single track by Lana and I don’t think I will, given that our musical tastes are poles apart. However, I feel compelled to raise some doubts about the association of "the most classic blues" with the music of the reviewed artist: either I'm consciously missing what could be my favorite artist of 2014, or we have a completely different conception of blues. I lean towards the second option. The review is super cool and provocative at the same time, but I won’t rate it because then it seems like I’m just brown-nosing (or brown-nosed). PS: those who give it a 1 haven’t listened to the album and are mainly static!

Oh, would it be a "fucking little rule"? Then how come every time you go to write a review, the phrase "Check with the DeMotore di ricerca that the work you want to review isn't already in the magical DeDatabase. If it is, decide for yourself whether it’s still worth writing a review: maybe yes (you have something else to say), but maybe not." pops up?

Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin II [Remastered & Extended 2CD Edition]

I consider these editions to be stuff for obsessed fans, and I, as a fan of Zeppelin, am not obsessed enough. Question (non-polemical): is there something from post-79 that you like? And anything from today’s production?

Hello son. The first review is always the first review, and since a dozen other dullards like me have already bothered you, I'll avoid being too heavy-handed. But you, if you want advice, next time ease off a bit, we'll all benefit from it.

But I don't get it, is there a saxophone here? Jokes aside, here are my tips: 1- don’t say it’s your first review, it has nothing to do with the album, and don’t ask for advice, they will come anyway 2- the track by track breakdown is unbearable to read, especially for an instrumental album 3- it doesn’t matter which instrument is providing accompaniment and which is soloing, talk about the mood of the record, the sound, what the bassist has for breakfast... 4- it’s a jazz album, it’s normal for every instrument to have solo parts 5- BWB aren’t that well-known, and you didn’t say a word about it; provide some info next time, and if I may say, "great variety of notes played by the saxophone and trumpet" is a phrase I never wanted to read... Anyway, today I’m less of a jerk than usual and I’ll give you a 3 for encouragement because the proposal is still interesting and unique, and I’m sure you’ll do better next time!

I missed this! Well written, Geo; I didn't even know he had released a new album. I've followed him a lot; I still listen to Live From Mars very often, the others from the '90s less so, but they remain spectacular to me. After that, his quality declined a lot, really a lot, so much that in the end, I stopped buying his albums (the last one was Both Sides Of The Gun). This doesn't inspire me at all, despite your nice review. I'm off to listen to Mama's Got A Girlfriend Now.
