Well, Iside, the fact that there exists someone with better lyrics than Battiato doesn't imply that he is worthless, because at this point if I find someone with better lyrics than Fausto Rossi then the worthless one becomes him. I believe that when you reach a certain level of quality, we can return to the much-abused (even by me) discussion about personal tastes: it's understandable that there might be someone whose lyrics you prefer over Battiato's, but saying that his are worth nothing seems quite exaggerated to me. You express your points very well in your description, but occasionally you lose some fluidity. Nonetheless, great review, just to be clear. I don't think the album is for me (I realized that after reading "one who reads the newspaper with the Bible always within reach"). I've never had a good relationship with religions...

If I may say so, I believe an artist should be judged by their works, and a pedophile (or pederast) should be judged for their crimes. These seem like two completely different things to me. Hi (and try to tear each other apart a little less; life is better that way...)

Sotanaht, even though most of the time it is not his merit, I believe that on a lyrical level, Battiato is still one of the most admirable artists in the modern panorama (both Italian and beyond). As for the melodic/rhythmic part, well... I respect your opinion (as it is personal) but I cannot share it. Bye.
