@Ghemi: an opinion is such because it can be debated, so yours is no exception (what a twisted reasoning...). Having been a prominent figure in Japan doesn't change my point of view: in the Far East there is a fundamentally different culture from the Western one, and the musical judgment parameters follow suit. Therefore, I remain convinced that without marrying Lennon we today would not be here on this virtual page discussing absolute nothingness. @voiceface: I don’t like his music. Period. It's just a matter of taste, you know... Then we can talk about the fact that he capitalizes on his image, as mentioned earlier, but sticking to a purely musical perspective, he really doesn’t say anything to me at all. PS: There is a lot of modern instrumental music out there, possibly better than this, and it doesn't receive as much disapproval (maybe because it's not part of the mainstream). This in particular is classical music in a modern key, an oxymoron that might raise eyebrows for many (given its success).

Enbar may be technically prepared (I'm not the right person to judge), but his compositions feel flat to me. They are catchy and accessible, all you want, but the bright light feels different to me. As has already been said, it's been studied and planned out.
