Polè, despite its limitations, Spartacus is among the two or three best Hollywood "sandalenfilm." When making a historical film, there’s a risk of flopping if it's not done spectacularly. And those financing it obviously push for it to be as grand as possible. Just look at that jumble of a film: Gladiator, which I watched again just a couple of days ago, where historical truth is mixed with fantasy. (yet it won a bunch of Oscars)

Very well-made film, more sentimental than Frears'. Both are beautiful.

The fact is that the horrible sister is NOT an artist, while Mimì stood among the most talented international artists. Drawing from her own experiences, Mia didn’t present the songs passively but delved into them deeply, proposing them with fresh, never trivial rhythms.

I saw the original, and although I'm not fond of the genre, I liked it. I trust what you've written.

I agree with the other comments. When I saw it, one of the things I noticed was that it was made in the same way as Colombo. You know the murderer from the very first scenes.

It's 10:27 and I’m listening to Little Feat, my absolute favorite rock band. I check on DeBser to see if they’ve been reviewed and I find 2 reviews. A little for a band of this caliber; at the very least, "Feats Don’t Fail Me Now," "Sailin’ Shoes," and "Dixie Chicken" deserve an in-depth analysis. For once, I agree on everything—well done.

It had been a while since I last saw you, and I came across your name by chance. The usual fluidity of writing to describe a nice album by one of the best artists of "americana."

OleEinar, check out DeBaser, Delrock, or what Scaruffi says. Tim Buckley, in his journey, became increasingly experimental; if you like that, for me, Tuxedomoon are the best.

@bjorky, I agree. As Velluto says, it’s true that the war was a terrible thing, but Mediterraneo doesn’t aim for a historical reconstruction; it’s a delightful little fairy tale. The escape trilogy beyond this includes Marrakech Express and Turné.

OleEinar, if you like Buckley, why not download the first 2 from Tuxedomoon?
