Oliver Stone Natural Born Killer

Rewatched yesterday, I lower the score. The expressive choice made by the director is unpleasant, almost unbearable. One can change one's mind.
Richard J. Lewis La Versione Di Barney

I couldn't watch it all the way through, I don't even remember what it was about.
The Specials The Specials

The review doesn't seem like a little assignment to me; you provided information and expressed a judgment—what else is needed in a review? I don’t like those long ones, especially if they're written just to get applause. (and there are some)
The Specials The Specials

It's been a long time since I last listened to them; I think it's the best album by the Specials and maybe even of the ska revival. (Madness, Selecter). I really enjoyed these sounds characterized by a driving rhythm and strong use of brass.
Robert Altman America Oggi
Voto:
But in Altman's film, the earthquake and the falling stones should be understood metaphorically... there is no disaster after which life does not go on, despite everything. The rain of frogs is beautiful visually, but I can’t see it as a metaphor for a new beginning. (maybe I'm wrong)
Robert Altman America Oggi
Voto:
Carver's stories are the result of inspiration freed by an intimate need; in Magnolia, Anderson wrote the stories because he wanted to make a film that echoed that of the "master." He only partially succeeded. Watching Magnolia, I instinctively thought of the comparison with America Oggi... and at times I found it irritating. The rain of frogs is the best thing he achieved, even though it mirrors the falling rocks caused by the earthquake in America Oggi.
Robert Altman America Oggi
Voto:
Unfortunately, it seems there is little interest in this masterpiece. Magnolia is a film that addresses the same themes; following Altman's example, Anderson made a film that echoes America Today in an all too evident way. The same style, editing, even camera movements, but the result is clearly inferior; the stories (written by Anderson) lack the depth of Carver's beautiful tales.

The best of Altman, (I really love the protagonists too) which for me means one of the most beautiful films ever. A bleak, hopeless portrayal of American society... but not just that.
Ben Affleck The Town
Voto:
An exemplary film in every respect, stylistically, visually, actor direction, character characterization; Postlethwaite and even more Jeremy Renner are perfect in their roles. Although Affleck is nothing outstanding as an actor, he is a great director; for me, this film is on the same level as Argo. Action and passion are well balanced, and I see no weaknesses, unless one dislikes the sentimental twists.
Michael Bloomfield From His Head To His Heart To His Hands
Voto:
Bloomfield is definitely among my favorite guitarists, a truly top-level artist, perhaps a bit underrated as well. I’m not familiar with the album in question... I have no doubt that it's good. It’s certainly well written, but for me, a review should be shorter; I believe that excessive length discourages reading (not for everyone).
