Sorry poletti, the film "Modern Times" is still relevant because exploitation and the assembly line are still present, while the hippie culture lasted about a decade and disappeared when people realized it was an utopia to want to change the world by going around saying make love, not war, look at where we are today. In fact, the punks succeeded the hippies, who had neither ideals nor proposals to change the world; they were just pissed off.

For those who don't know, the film was inspired by "Il Sorpasso" and the life of a still-living hippie who still loves to ride those motorcycles; he even lent his bag to one of the two actors. In the tank, he didn’t hide drugs (like in the movie) but something else that I can't recall (maybe money). In my opinion, the film is boring; I didn't like it even when it was released. In any case, it is the manifesto of a generation.
