I have this record on vinyl, but it has never excited me. I've always considered their best album to be Live at Fillmore... and also Brother and Sisters, which had steered the band towards more country sounds. Basically, a Dickey Betts record had taken control of the situation.

I was glad that you replied to me. Especially when you are young, it sometimes happens that you become so enchanted by a musician that you idealize them; it happened to me with Stills. Listening to his albums again now, they seem a bit dated, but what he did with Manassas remains a really great record, his best.

You cut your hair like Suzi Quatro. This reminded me that in the early seventies I grew sideburns like Steve Stills had on the cover of one of his albums; during that time, he was my favorite musician, almost a myth. I think differently now, but his double album with Manassas remains a beautiful record. Good review.

Kubrick's first anti-war film was followed by Dr. Strangelove and Full Metal Jacket, three different ways to express his anti-militarism, three masterpieces. Excellent review.
