Anyway, this review is a bit bland, I admit it, but I was half out of it when I wrote it, and the important thing is that it's read and that the band gets noticed. Cheers!

I honestly don't like the augury at all, and I think it takes a lot to consider them brutal. However, I believe that for someone who is approaching the genre, it's important to know the basics, which are, in fact, from the early '90s in the USA, thanks to bands like Suffocation, Broken Hope (to some extent), Cannibal Corpse, etc.

Nisba Nisba, if you want to understand brutal death, download FORCED Effigy Of The Forgotten by Suffocation, None So Vile by Cryptopsy, Sermon Of Mockery by Pyrexia, Imbreeding The Anthropophagi by Deeds Of Flesh, and for now that's enough, but there are many others.

Kurtd: specifying that I hate Nirvana and Korn, I meant that even though they might seem like a great band at first, it becomes clear later on how ridiculous and childish a group Slipknot is. Your point about fashion might be valid, but in my opinion, the Slipknot situation is quite different. Before finding success, they always played alternative stuff, but they weren't appealing to record labels like Roadrunner. So out goes the old singer, and in comes the cooler one who writes cool "anti-society" lyrics; the second album is even more of a commercial shift for the band, with cooler masks and plenty of songs featuring a type of violence that any brainless person can understand. Finally, by the third album, it’s time to show a new face, so down we go with half-pop melodies and plenty of ballads that even Tokio Hotel fans can appreciate. And now, in the midst of the Metalcore trend, a turn towards that genre. In my opinion, they are a band absolutely controlled by the record label, it’s pure plastic to me.

Group to avoid, it might be fine to listen to them at 12 years old, but in the end, you open your eyes and realize that it's just a clever commercial construction. In my opinion, it's more than evident that their music follows the trends of the moment; now that Nu Metal is dead, they seamlessly shift to more Metalcore influences or styles close to pseudo-"death" genres. This explains that abomination of blast beats that are in the track.
