Baustelle Live @ Media World - Parma 03.07.08

The tracks on the record are carefully crafted and completely devoid of the "rock n roll" vibe, so it's evident that a somewhat rough live performance (like the one on May 1st) is the only possible way for a band that relies on studio tweaks and a certain refinement as its greatest strength.

I had downloaded it, and thinking it wasn't theirs, I immediately tossed it in the trash, without even listening to it.. as of today, my favorite Can track is actually "Future Days," which I consider practically perfect. Very good review, but compared to usual, it's a bit less "colorful." Regards.

I know the album, thanks to a friend who, among other things, also appreciates Atreyu (and in general all the garbage produced in the metal/pseudo-metal scene in these last and sad ten years) the new In Flames and the solo crap from System of a Down. What can I say? They really suck, that such a blasphemous combination of horrible genres is conceptually unthinkable, but they did it, and the result is worse than the (apocalyptic) expectations... senseless.
Pearl Jam Riot Act

The review may not be agreeable, but it doesn’t deserve the stoning mentioned above and the many truly unpleasant and pompous comments. Did they say something stupid? Fine, live and let live, and above all, let’s avoid the "riot act" of the title towards an opinion one doesn’t share. (Assuming that even the opinion that rock is dead is debatable, not necessarily false, since the discussion always starts from an idea or conception of the subject from the writer’s perspective.)

Rage Against The Machine Live @ Stadio Braglia, Modena 14.06.08

For neurosis, I recommend starting with the latest "given to the rising" or "a sun that never sets," which are not (too hard to digest). Damn, there’s little known about crimson, the where and the when... maybe a bit more about the what, but it’s still all talk of rumors...

I agree with the occult supersovereign on the pianist, but I also liked this one, giving it a 3.5.
Radiohead "In Rainbows" tour. Live @ Milano - Arena Civica 17/06/2008

"the bends and ok computer are beautiful, those are the radiohead for me" always with these traditionalist extremisms.. now radiohead are being downplayed with a certain nonchalance, but the best works are certainly not those characterized by the harmless britpop of their early days. the bends is a useless album, nice chords and beautiful melodies, and that’s it. a canonical and reactionary album. regarding the concert, I would have loved to be there, but generally speaking I don't enjoy "stadium" concerts primarily because of the acoustics, and then because of the very little "filtered" audience and the certain general atmosphere that results.. (moshing with radiohead!)

I understand, I would like to approach it cautiously because my opinion of them is pretty much absolute.. in fact, I've always avoided their production post-'72 except for those songs that occasionally play on the radio. I will listen.
