I've said it before and I'll say it again: in my opinion, these guys are downright pointless. After seeing them live (and being moved by a beautiful cover of comfortably numb), I downloaded their discography, which doesn’t mean anything to me, from the first to the last album I listened to. Good review anyway, but where is the list that doesn’t take historical memory into account?
Morphine The Night

uh, I lost the comments above, from which it was clear. I'm really sorry about that, though. ah, and I can throw the first stone (and the second, and the third...) because I have no fakes and I won't have any. so we are 11 XD

What happened to Palestrina? I only heard "the night" from them, and I really liked it. Anyway, I’ll look into it further.
Metallica My Apocalypse

I believe that if the upcoming work's tracks settle at this level, we can talk about a "metallic rebirth," at least for those who want it to return to a good thrashing level. However, as far as I'm concerned, a track like this in the year of our Lord 2008 deserves a flat one.
Allan Holdsworth Hard Hat Area
Voto:
Perhaps due to the sound, at times similar to that of a synth, and at other times resembling that of a wind instrument. (Choices made by Holdsworth to distance himself from both traditional guitar schools and out of love for such instruments) the album is good, but I agree with Opel on which are the best.

be careful not to confuse invective with populism, though. one cannot protest without being bothersome...

I'll tell you what doesn't drive them: the sincere desire to write music or communicate something. A group that picks up instruments "to play power metal" and not out of expressive urgency or a desire for linguistic interpretation is dead meat from the start. Three-quarters of today's metalheads are simply necrophiles.

best regards Mr. junkyard owner, great writing as usual
Brian Wilson Smile

True that music belongs to its time, but the countless vocal harmonies, the sugary orchestrations, and the purely retrogressive (or rather non-existent) instrumental parts made the pet sound (to me) sound negatively anachronistic, rather than pleasantly timeless. Beautiful melodies, but the overall concoction doesn't even remotely compare to the Beatles' work and, on a smaller scale, to the contemporary revolver. That it doesn't reach the level of Barrett seems obvious; I wouldn't even dare to make any comparisons.
