There are bands that over the years have managed to evolve, setting a different type of genre but never neglecting the emotional factor. Such bands are aware that art expressed with passion and love, in any form it may be, is synonymous with beauty. The genius of turning melancholy, sadness, and pleasure into sensations that caress the human soul, making it fragile as snow melted by the warmth of the sun, is not easy. But Anathema in this are monumental stones.

The creativity of Cavanagh is nothing short of sublime. His lyrics, his words are poetry, poetry in motion that lies in the most hidden recesses of our hearts. This album for those who seek these emotions can only be fascinated and cradled by the wisdom of this masterpiece. Yes, because "Hindsight" is a sort of romantic and sweet reissue of their most excellent tracks. A collection in acoustic version of the most suggestive ballads that have made their career a pillar, an example for those who seek bliss, diversion, the place to take refuge in music during the saddest moments of life.

The marvelous work opens with "Fragile Dreams" the second track of the album "Alternative 4", where the harmony touches absurd heights, a versatile piano frames the candid sound of a violin that feels like a "muse", inspiring Cavanagh's voice. Another factor to note is the interpretation of this, which I believe has been the true standard-bearer of Anathema's charm. His great strength, his soul, his mastery in identifying with any of his compositions is phenomenal. "Inner Silence" is the clear example of what I mentioned earlier. The pure poetry, love described in all its entirety with the use of only six simple phrases, it's hard to hold back tears in front of such wonderful sensitivity. Bitterness and pain are the interpreters in "One Last Goodbye", a song dedicated to the mother of the Cavanagh brothers, the regret of a son who with difficulty dedicates his affection, because the bond that ties a mother to her child is insurmountable. Unfortunately, suffering is part of every man's life, but from a bad experience, from the darkness a glimmer of light will never cease to beat, the hope of being able to find peace and affection will always be there. "Are You There" is the confirmation, a semi-acoustic ballad complements it, leading to "Angelica", the excellent reworking in this "collection", along with "A Natural Disaster" the highest peak of the album. Where we find a splendid female voice with an excellent tone and personality as the protagonist.

I can therefore affirm with adequate certainty that "Hindsight" is an extraordinary work, recommended to everyone. I, in particular, am already very attached to it because their music has been my salvation in my saddest moments, my suffering has been soothed by the mantle of this group's art, which I consider one of my all-time favorites.
