Practically all popular music from the 70s onwards owes its foundations to minimalism, certainly not in purely sonic terms but more on a conceptual level. Nice review chicco, the subject is anything but simple but you've handled it skillfully.

Wow, what an honor to be mentioned in a review of Fishbone, through Soulman, the Funkadelic, and back again. That’s one of those things that makes a day end well. As for the rest, I haven't listened to the album; I gave a distracted ear to "Reality" but it didn't catch my attention, a bit too heavy to digest right away. As for Aliosha: not that I’m an expert, but I believe that English reggae is more of a "return" phenomenon than a "going" one… still cool in both directions.

Slowly I'm getting closer to this group. Not that I've heard a single note from them, apart from the first album which back in the day I thought was pretty terrible, but little by little I think I'll hear wow and then this.
