WARNING!!!, RICCARDO HAS NEVER HEARD OCTOPUS BY GENTLE GIANT YET HE SHOVELS SHIT ON IT BY THE LOAD: this is clear from the fact that while he provides an explanation for his disapproval of Animals by Pink Floyd, for Octopus he just limits himself to the incomprehensible writing "O_O 3".

Come on, let’s not say nonsense: I appreciate Lennon a lot for those immortal anthems he composed, but if we have to summarize his solo career, the grade would barely be sufficient. John Lennon has always had an extraordinary talent for lyrics, but generally, and I mean GENERALLY, he has never shone in the area of instrumental composition. Paul McCartney often hit the nail on the head with both music and lyrics (it's not true that he only wrote sugary or frivolous lyrics; the text of "Band on the Run" or "Nineteen Hundred Eighty Five," for example, seems to talk about everything except teenage romantic ups and downs, and all the various nonsense that has always been said about Macca), which makes me prefer him by far over John Lennon (my personal opinion).

Chaos and Creation... it's a great album (with very few shortcomings). What really pisses me off is the backlash against McCartney's production in favor of John Lennon's crap: yes, the bespectacled genius, outside of the Beatles, managed to create 2 or 3 masterpiece songs, only to drown them in a sea of garbage. In short, a terrible career. Except for "Press to Play" and other '80s crap, McCartney has always made good albums, from "Back to the Egg," to "McCartney," to "Band on the Run," to "Flaming Pie," etc. Not to mention the beautiful melodies; after all, he invented POP (British pop, that is, not Oasis...). Dear-Boy forgive me, maybe I was too rude with you.

"How nostalgic for these 40-minute albums, rich in ideas and music, and not filled with fillers like today's CDs... long, extremely long to the point of boredom" just this line is worth a 5. I don't know the album well. The first one from 1978, I really like it (I prefer them to the Police).

Dear_Boy, you are just a big jerk, a real idiot: FIRST, because you review an album you don't like, SECOND, because you talk about Paul McCartney as if he were an old fool (let me remind you to listen to Chaos and Creation...), THIRD, because I listened to "Dance Tonight" on YouTube, which isn’t a masterpiece, but goes down as easily as any other modern production (it’s recorded in a raw and fairly technical way, almost improvisational, just like in the good old days...), FOURTH, because just yesterday this album was being reviewed (in a much more constructive manner), and there was no need for another review (the album hasn’t even been released yet). You could have saved yourself the trouble.

"At times, you can even smell the scent of the epic" you must be tripping. A masterpiece, maybe it's because it’s part of my childhood, but it’s a masterpiece.
