These Finley are nothing compared to the highly refined prog-rock of Gazosa...

The cover is rather bleak, fortunately the album is not: "La stagione dell'amore" really makes you think... This album is a testament to what singer-songwriters had to say in those years; considering what Italian singer-songwriters have to say today, it makes you want to put a gun to your temple.

Poletti, you can’t give more than 2 to any record that made history, but you give a 4 to this junk; nowadays, all music is on the same low levels: Luca Dirisio, La Crus, Paolo Meneguzzi, Tiziano Ferro, Negramaro,... La Crus pretends to be an engaged group, but in the end, the content is comparable to a Britney Spears song. Tired music, super slow, despicable, that even struggles to climb the charts (at least the catchy choruses of Gigi D’ Alessio make it to number 1); but why should we listen to trash like this? The funny thing is that when you hear the interviews with these musicians, they tell you with the most inspired faces, "Well, in our album we’ve had some influences from other genres and musical eras, there’s a lot of progressive, a lot of jazz, a lot of electronic,..."; then in the end, you listen to the record and realize it’s the same old pseudo-pop synthetic stuff from Backstreet Boys and Blue. It’s really true that the elderly still have to think about creating a good album nowadays. Don’t believe it? Listen to "Chaos And Creation In The Backyard" by 64-year-old Paul McCartney; it’s not a masterpiece, but it’s still made with soul, spirit, and real musical instruments (yes, real musical instruments, things that nowadays people don’t even know what they are). Oh, speaking of influences, I take this opportunity to promote the album "Contaminazione" by "Rovescio Della Medaglia" released in 1973: listen to it and you’ll realize how much distance there is between La Crus and an Italian band from the '70s (thousands of light-years).
