Look at that, I didn't dismiss Tenco: I merely said he's not as great as he may be for Dalla, Battiato, Battisti,... I haven't said anything about Genesis, but since you brought them up, I'll tell you they're one of my favorite bands (up to Duke). If La Crus wants to create important music of a certain artistic level, then why do they fill it with the commercial banality typical of this period? Simple, because they want to be commercial; they probably feel the need to maintain a certain lifestyle. Speaking of Fossati (Delirium is perhaps the only progressive band I don't like), he's never done anything particularly significant for Italian music, he's just composed political anthems that have contributed little to the Italian political scene. Ligabue, oh my, four guitar chords repeated endlessly, a solo in the middle and one at the end of the song, and the usual words rearranged differently as lyrics. And now Ligabue has become a bit of a "figheta," with foundation and well-groomed skin; at least at one point he had that "brodegone" look that gave him an edge. And come on, what the hell do women know?

Sorry Gilmour for writing "Gilmur". Sylvian1982, it's probably impossible to establish a dialogue with you where reasoning is possible. Regarding the album "La Bibbia," why did the vinyl version only last 22 minutes while the CD version was over 30? Are there any Bonus Tracks?

Dear sylvian1982, I said "a sub-species of boyband," so a boyband of unattractive, second-rate guys; secondly (but I should say first), David Gilmour made music history with Pink Floyd (I'm really sorry to tell you this, I didn't mean to bring you back to reality so abruptly), a group that may be second only to the Beatles in popularity. The Tenco Award has no value, as they give it to any and everyone, including Ligabue (a man who has turned the circle of C into a miserable source of income) and Fossati (a man who promotes his poor art by aligning himself with a certain political faction). With this, I don't want to be the next Scaruffi, I like music, but I can't accept names like La Crus being passed off as music of some substance. They are just a banal commercial group that makes fashionable records passing them off as very inspired and heartfelt musical contaminations. As already mentioned, listen to "Contaminazione" by RDM to understand what the word that gives the title to the album means. If you want to listen to La Crus, go ahead, but don’t exaggerate so much.

I'll tell you what La Crus is looking for, dear sylvian1982: they are looking for money, they only want that because their music sounds like any chart-topping drivel. It doesn't matter if at home they listen to "Trespass" by Genesis; what matters is what they produce on record. Ah, Gilmour has his style, calm, which slowly envelops you and he knows his music; otherwise, how can you explain that he made history and La Crus did not? If you like them, go ahead and listen to them, but don't hype them up as if they are musical geniuses because they are not.

Paul McCartney's album is the first that came to my mind (it's not a masterpiece, but it has warm sounds that have nothing to do with today's music). Tenco was a good songwriter, not a great one; La Crus doesn't even come close to him. As I said, they are just a small group (nobody knows them): what sets them apart from Negramaro or all the rest? Nothing. Oh, and Ciampi, who sang about his existential problems, has nothing to do with the music of this subpar boy band. And if you then find out that with the Tenco award they have also honored people like Ligabue and Fossati, you realize how much value the plaque bearing the name of a songwriter who, all in all, has always remained true to himself and has never surrendered to the laws of the market can have.
