Yes, I prefer those raw and muffled sounds. 47 I think we're just the two of us who appreciate Lizard (Island isn't too shabby either).

VDGG, another great drum sound. Slim, Collins, however, has nothing to do with the muffled skins, etc. etc. No one does drum mic'ing like that today.

I can’t help but give this album a 5. I'm very attached to it; the sound is so rough and sweaty, it’s one of the best I’ve ever heard, and from "Liar" (including it) onwards, it really holds up. Just think that without the early Queen albums I would have never discovered progressive rock (the '70s one, of course), Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and everything I listen to now. This is because Queen, for better or worse, encapsulate almost all musical genres, and even now that I’ve broadened my musical horizons (I can't say how much because life is long), I often find myself comparing the albums I listen to with those of Queen, whether it's Kraut-rock or rumba, etc. — not in terms of quality, but in the way of ideas and sounds; for example, I, who have a manic interest in percussion and drums, have Roger Taylor as my only deity (along with a few others who, if I have to say my opinion, stand a step below): his thick and devastating sound, yet extremely varied and dynamic, is the yardstick by which I judge all other drummers—it's a bit like a first love...

Don't get heated. I said it was from 1990, not Paoloz. I pointed it out because in the column next to it, it says Year: 1990.

Hey beautiful, I recorded this a couple of years ago on Rai 1.

Wow, what a long review, I don't feel like reading. But look, the album is from '92/'93 (I’m not even sure myself), not from 1990. That said, I believe it’s Ligabue’s best work. There’s something good about this album, one cannot deny it: "La ballerina del Carillon", "Ho messo via", "Piccola città eterna", "Quando tocca a te" all seem like songs that are quite heartfelt overall.

Say what you want, but the song "Amico" from 1980 is a pop masterpiece.

Electric battery? But more acoustic than this... the album in question isn’t that great if we take away Hallogallo and Negativeland: it features standard Kraut compositions like "Sonderangebot" (who among the Kraut-rockers hasn’t made a song like that, come on...), stuff like "Weissensee," good, but with a slightly too Pink Floydian pace, another standard Kraut "Im gluck," songs on the brink of decency, like the mediocre "Lieber Honig," a nearly 7-minute piece that reconnects to "Im gluck."
I think Hallogallo and Negativeland are very good, maybe more so the latter, they have that mechanical pace that hypnotizes... In conclusion, an album rated 6.5/10, Neu! will do much better with their second album. That said, I believe that no one can beat Kraftwerk when it comes to innovation: drum machines, synthesizers never seen before, sequencers 10 years ahead, masterpieces like those from 1974 or 1977, now those are albums that revolutionized the scene (and also created a lot of, a lot of crap).
