Katatonia Night Is The New Day
Voto:
great review and the only one of the three I agree with.
after the wheel that gave me the immense "the great cold distance" (cit.) which for me is perhaps the best heavy album of the new century, I took this "night is the new day" expecting, if not a work of the same quality as the previous one (quite impossible even for our heroes), at least a great album.
nothing could be more wrong, the album is really boring and if I think back to idle blood I feel sick, it wasn't enough for Opeth to tarnish themselves with these melodies from a depressed 16-year-old, now Katatonia too!
I think the blame is also a bit on the "genius" Steven Wilson and I won't express myself on Porcupine Tree both because I would be off-topic and because I would risk attracting a lot of unpopularity :D
luckily with the next one they recovered.
just yesterday I read that they're recording the new album, can't wait!

Great album, I can really feel the influence of Blue Oyster Cult in my opinion (see Johnny Blade and others). The review is well-written, but I would have skipped some of the absolutist comments.

The review is clearly written very quickly, and it's a shame given the level of the album in question, undoubtedly their best album. Everything here is perfect, from the songwriting to the production. An absolute masterpiece!

I only know when the sky turns black, I had promised myself to listen to it but, perhaps because I hadn't found it easily, I had overlooked it.
Thanks for the tip!
For now, I'm just voting on the review.

I want to highlight the vinyl remaster that came out (I think) last year, which I believe sounds amazing!! Anyway, I enjoyed the review, and the album is an immortal masterpiece.

Apart from the fact that the album hasn't even been released yet and you could have at least waited for the release date to "write" this review, anyway, you copied the review word for word from another site (which, by the way, is also the first result when you type the album title + review on Google)... what can I say... shame on you...

brutal is a pretty ridiculous genre... a bit like this review and all the comments.
