Never been able to stand this Hi-Nrg blah blah blah; in his interviews, all I see is arrogance and the attitude of someone who thinks they are superior. The songs (at least the ones I've listened to) don't say a damn thing to me, but I stopped paying attention four years ago when he made a video with the setting of the Vibrazioni in "Dedicato solo a te," a setting that was also used by Elio e le storie tese for "Shalp man" (is it spelled like that?). I don't believe this Hi-Nrg has made any significant progress over the years because he was an idiot and remains one. Mariano, how many damn reviews are you putting out these days? At least try to review Italian artists who deserve it (there are very few), so the choice isn’t difficult.

I don't believe that Speak and Spell, A Broken Frame, and Construction Time Again are qualitatively superior because (first Clarke and then Gore) they had the merit of experimenting with new sounds, while Duran were following the sounds dictated by the trends of synthesizers (Girls on Film, Planet Heart, Rio, Save a Prayer, The Reflex, etc.) accompanied by Le Bon's shrill voice. It's no coincidence that they have been classified as New Romantics, a movement that died 22 years ago and lasted 4 years (there must be a reason).
