Interpol Turn on the Bright Lights
Voto:
I’ve only had the CD for a week. FE-NO-ME-NA-LE. Great review. I also recommend reading this: BBC - collective - Interpol - Turn on the bright lights

LOR15! Nice review. Anyway, it seems to me that your rating isn't in line with the review. After your comment, I would have expected at most a 3/5.

calm down atman (for the vote). There are people who have given higher ratings knowing only one piece, or worse, "on trust." And there are people who have harshly judged "on trust." For Kurz: calm down!

Sorry Kurz, can you explain it to me?

I have to say that I’ve had the CD highlighted next to the stereo for 2 months now. It's a CD lent to me by an enthusiastic colleague after he discovered it through his teenage daughter. For me, that's a sufficient reason to label the CD prejudicially (as well as disdainfully) as teenie-pop. In fact, I had listened to a few tracks on the computer, and it hadn’t convinced me. Fate had it that the other day I inserted the CD (blank, with no comments whatsoever (an anonymous CD-R, not even the tracklist)) and listened to what I later discovered was "Going Under." Well, I have to say that the guitar intro is phenomenal. I found myself, at 35, walking around the house playing air guitar. Then, when the vocals come in, the effect fades... I won't rate the album because I'm far from being able to give a judgment. In the CD player, the first of the Organization (later known as Kraftwerk) 1970 went in... A completely different thing. Among the most interesting things I've heard recently: Dubtometry by DJ Spooky (it's the remix of Optometry). Very much in the style of DJ Shadow. Who knows, maybe I’ll follow up with a review...

Anyway, I'm still active. The site isn't very up-to-date but: New site coming soon in 2015 - The Young Gods

Of the groups listed, only Young Gods, but I see that there is a certain compatibility at the core (Smiths, NIN, Hole). The YG are quite well-known in Italy, particularly after their appearance at Arezzo Wave in 1993. It was the year of TVSky. A mini European tour followed, with the Italian concerts opened by Technogod.

I just heard the song while watching the video on MTV a few weeks ago. The track (just because) reminded me of Ritual de lo Habitual (which I consider to be their gem). I then read a review in Rumore where the J.A. didn't come out too well. But if you say they deserve it, I'll try to get it. Great review. Did Navarro make a fool of himself with the Red Hot? I don’t know about that…

I know, and I'm sorry. Maybe some webmaster can fix things...
On the other hand, even Tsunami cut my review of Manu Chao's concert, only later adjusting the rating, but the 1 still counted in the average :-( ...
Tsunami, which by the way has a playlist that really matches mine.
