I like the more industrial Laibach... from the way you describe this album, I think I should stay away from it, but on the other hand, you still manage to pique my curiosity.

I'm all weird, but I prefer their recent albums (especially hosannas). Now let's see how the new album will be (with all the original members :O) coming out in April.

It's hard for me to think that You'll Never Get To Me, with its sound completely detached from the rest of the album, is the only track that I truly can't get into. Otherwise, I'm not sure there was a need for such a limited track by track for this album.

10/10 to the review. To achieve this review, one must be in conspiracy with Satan; a masterpiece, in short.

It’s been about four months since I’ve been listening to it regularly, and I can confirm that it’s a fantastic album. Before it was released, I had read an interview that hinted at a more "progressive" direction: thinking back to Mastodon and that huge disappointment of Crack the Skye (boring), I was honestly a bit worried, but thank god listening to the album has dispelled my fears. Converge didn’t try to overreach, avoiding becoming cloying (like what personally happened to the aforementioned Mastodon) and released an album that doesn’t age at all, even after countless listens (easier said than done). It’s much more accessible than Jane Doe or No Heroes without losing an ounce of quality and intensity: this was definitely aided by the (relative) simplification of the drum parts, with a surprisingly frequent use of (similar) d-beat that, rather than being "progressive," makes this album perhaps the most "punk" of the group (all definitions to be taken with a grain of salt, eh!). (In reality, I had been thinking for a while about writing a review of this album, so I have a lot of things to say, but I risk making it just an unreadable mess, so I’ll stop here :D)
