Every time I go through this page, I listen to Ox again, but I still find it much less intense than Axe to Fall, nor do the tracks stick in my head like those of Converge. I'm not saying it's a bad album, but to quote Alfredo, "Converge, however, are in another galaxy. Imho, obviously." It’s worth noting that the doom-folk-infused tracks have been present in Converge's albums for quite a few years now; it’s just that here, instead of "breaking" the album in two, they rather (successfully) balance the exhilarating start delivered by that anthology-worthy track, Dark Horse.
