no no, review a bit what I wrote above. "Beyond the provocation, what I wanted to point out is how Dave criticized Mauro's ridiculous positions on metal, which he absolutized as 'all crap' when he does the same with other genres." You rarely engage in reasoning; rather, you want to impose (as even here regarding the best phase of Pink Floyd). Even in responding to my latest posts, which I doubt can be interpreted as provocations, instead of trying to reason, you immediately resorted to your usual system of 'offenses' (if those were indeed the things that downgrade :-D).

As a first review, it's not bad, despite the track-by-track format that I don't particularly like. Anyway, you describe the album quite well (or at least I think so, since I had never heard the band's name before), and that's what matters.

In my opinion, the most beautiful transliteration ever made by the Japanese is za baado (the bird). Here we are now at levels of linguistic abstraction unreachable by common mortals.

Well, I remember your absolutization regarding punk (which is so vast that giving it a definitive definition is almost impossible, as dozens of discussions on debaser have shown) and the one mentioned a few posts ago (cripple bastards and their genre that totally sucks). As far as I'm concerned, absolutizations are absurd and useless regardless, no matter how limited a genre may be, and they're a symptom of mental closure - for example, when talking about grunge, it already seems difficult to interpret the production of Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Soundgarden in the same way (to name just a few of the big names that pretty much everyone knows). And the same, I suppose, can be said about the so-called "nu metal" (which I doubt is limited to the few "esoteric" things that someone like you and me knows). Learn that it’s not the genres (post facto categorizations and not absolute truths) that suck, but the individual bands (and here the legendary de gustibus comes into play, against which there's not much to be done; what you like may completely suck for someone else, and vice versa). And if a fool comes at you saying absurd things like Mauro, instead of responding to him, you should ignore him, instead of giving him the rope to start making his own mistakes. Right?

Did they only take the title then? I tried to search for the text on their site, but it wasn't there.

On this, so to speak, I might have some doubts. Be that as it may, perhaps it's time to clarify one of my previous posts so that DJG can reconsider his views on "the quintessential slippery provocateur" (I was missing this one) with whom it's impossible to have any sort of conversation. So, the post in question is the one where "in my opinion, there isn't much difference between you two" (that is, mauroprog and djg). Beyond the provocation, what I wanted to point out is how Dave criticized the ridiculous positions of Mauro regarding metal, which he absolutized as "all crap" (one might wonder why almost no one followed Deneil's advice to ignore him) when he himself does the same with other genres (as he confirmed just above). Starting from this assumption, it seems evident to me that, far from being just a simple provocation (but after a while, one gets a taste for this with you!), I hoped to make him reflect on his fundamental mistake (which can be summed up in the nice saying "the ox calls the donkey horned"). Unfortunately, I fear I was, at the time, too cryptic and consequently here I am forced to write this whole thing. I hope now you will have something more to say, perhaps avoiding your typical constructive invectives (like "remember that you might never wake up again" and similar).

"Matando Gueros" more than being influenced by brujeria is it really just a cover of theirs? Anyway, the cover is quite strange for a band like this; I find it rather pleasing.

I don't know, in the review I see too many references to other bands to think of it as an interesting product (by my standards), but it could be. I listened to the single though, and it seems to confirm my feelings. Next time, don’t ramble too much about the individual tracks.
