Sorry for the severe dysgraphia, I've been struggling with my keyboard for a week.

Dear Rive, I respect your ideas, but before the 80s, despite the term already existing, we cannot speak of Heavy Metal. The turning point was precisely with this album (which I personally do not consider among the best of Iron), and it’s impossible not to notice that after this work there was also a significant change in sound from already existing bands. As for the influences that affected the Maiden, we all agree that nobody invents anything, but this LP was a revolution. What can I say about Metallica? I think they have certainly done great things (including the infamous Black Album), but in their case, certain influences (especially Speed-thrash, which existed before them and from the NWOBHM, among which were, coincidentally, the Maiden) have been much more prominent than in other bands. It is curious to see that most of the fans they have now earned since '91, in my opinion, during the weakest part of their career... Is there MTV’s influence at play? Cheers!

"young" it's useless now, dysgraphia has taken hold of me...

Of course, I meant to say "Instead, I’m not young," sorry! Finding common points between the two productions is undoubtedly easy, but this mainly stems from a very similar vocal timbre and the predominant use of the piano in both. As for the composition, I’m sorry to contradict you, but there are light-years between the two; one was fiercely avant-garde, while Tori is more tied to a more traditional songwriting, albeit with various compositional acrobatics, as you say. That said, I still much prefer Amos's production. Hi again and Merry Christmas!

I'm not young either; it's one thing to talk about influence and another about personality; words have weight. Hello!

Nice dysgraphia above! Sorry, I'm a bit tired...

Neither unlistenable nor unbearable, I repeat, the last two albums are not bad; if they had been written by some pseudo-singer-songwriter, as is fashionable now, there would have been talk of great albums. But they are by Tori, so more is expected. Anyway, yes, I’ve listened to Enjoy the Silence, and I like it. And I also don't agree that she started from someone else's personality; that's a common misconception that I feel compelled to contradict.

Ah! Ah! Ah!, true! But I assure you that even Tori isn't perfect.. Allow me to bother you a bit more to explain my idea about our beloved's last two albums: When I say weak, I don't mean ugly; I simply mean that compared to the past, there's a noticeable decline in creative verve and a certain complacency in her technical ability, a bit like dear Geek says. Honestly, I've listened to and re-listened to them several times, but in the end, I always return to the '90s production, which cannot be compared to anything in terms of passion. Bye!
