Oh God, honestly I find it hard to choose the funniest one, just as I would struggle with the next one ("Restaurant at the End of the Universe"), while, for instance, I find the other three in the series (except for parts of "Life, the Universe and Everything") quite superfluous because they only become tangled up in a convoluted way around the (brilliant) idea on which the first one is based. I struggle because "The Guide" isn’t made of funny moments (though it is, but those are just pretexts) but of a single logical-narrative verve that brilliantly summarizes the unfounded sense of superiority we humans think we have over everything else. Adams had the gift of lateral thinking and this first book of his is the most important example of it. Anyway, if I really have to mention one, the explanation of "infinite improbability drive" still makes me laugh (and think) a lot for various reasons (also personal) that I won’t mention here because I would risk boring you. Take care.

I wanted to write "Captain Howdy, with whom I am in daily contact, sends you his heartfelt thanks," but the DeServer gobbled up the sentence.

"For purists of the educated, carefree, and fairy-tale-like cartoon (like Disney)." Obviously, you have never seen "Bambi" or "Snow White" (it must have been Woody Allen who said that when he was a kid watching it, he cried the whole time because his parents hadn't warned him it was a horror movie), not to mention that the most psychologically vile villain in history is in a classic Disney film, namely "The Lion King." It's not that I want to defend Disney, for heaven's sake, but in my opinion, too many people have a stereotypical view of Mickey Mouse's mansion. I didn't go beyond reading the page, so I limit myself to voting for the cartoon.
