Dear Jack, what you mistake for commercial initiatives I call acts of love. Commerciality is measured by advertising, catchiness, radio and TV airplay, and the Maiden are lacking in all these areas. They base their success almost solely on word of mouth from fans. Merchandising is something that falls outside of commerciality because no one forces you to buy T-shirts, gadgets, etc. But you'll learn this when you're a bit older and less fundamentalist. Anyway, I don't want to change your mind about anything; I just invite you to respect others' tastes a little more. That's all.

To be fair Ajeje, I took inspiration from your words but I'm not mad at you, quite the opposite ;-)

Well, if we start discussing this film, it means something is not quite right. Anyway, it's both broad and deep; unfortunately and fortunately, in life, numbers sometimes matter. Lately, there's been a trend to only consider niche things as valid, which have inspired niche movements that must be seen as cultured. Consequently, people tend to live superficially with films like this one, which have had the unfortunate fault of changing the lives of too many ordinary mortals (and this is a flaw that unfortunately occurs a lot on this site, especially in the musical field, and it's a shame because many exclude themselves from wonderful worlds). The breadth may not be the depth, but empathy often, in fact always, is. I may not be Confucius, and I might not be that clever, but it comes to mind to say: "If something is for a few, it’s probably because it’s of little worth."

Goodie-piece for goodie consumption. I would like to know if Cristicchi knows what he's talking about. I have nothing to say about his value as a lyricist, but I really can’t swallow certain operations...

"'They are and will remain until the end of their very long career a bunch of poor idiots,' what is this?
Anyway, I’m not upset at all, and ‘SERIOUS’ people (to quote you) kind of scare me; it’s because of serious people that this world is going to hell (by the way, that uppercase you use there is not only arrogant but almost offensive towards me, but I’ll let it slide because I'm for Peace).
You should know that as a fan, I’m their first critic, and if you check my posts about all or nearly all of their 90s albums, you’ll notice. You, by your own admission, are not a fan and, let me say it, you’ve probably listened to them very little but keep slandering (don’t play the game of saying you didn’t because I’ve shown it at the beginning of the post), and what’s even more annoying is that you keep insinuating that their fans must necessarily be idiot teenagers, so it’s either arrogance/superficiality or you don’t re-read your posts, you choose. Personally, I’ve already chosen and keep in mind that I’ve never insulted you; I’ve only read between the lines of your posts: 1) a person who does not respect other people’s tastes is arrogant 2) a person who does not recognize the importance that albums like ‘Seventh Son’ or ‘Powerslave’ had in the subsequent metal is poorly informed and therefore needs to study C) a person who cannot see how much human warmth there is behind a band like Maiden is a bit arid in my opinion. Anyway, I don’t mean to teach you anything; I simply invite you to be a bit more careful with your comments. Many people here can tell you that I don’t get heated easily and I only do so when directly called an idiot, re-read your posts and you’ll realize you did that. Best regards!"
