Dear Zaireeka, thank you for the clarification. Now I think even worse of it because if he knows what he's talking about, he could very well have spared us the buffoonery (like the chair) for the sake of the most vile commercialism, and for goodness' sake, a little respect! (Speaking as someone who still has work experience in the field) ;-)

You could have spared the comments about other artists; the rest is sensible enough that I won’t vote on the review to balance these two aspects. I think the Stones have been influential in all of rock, but honestly, they don't do much for me. Just because I listen to musicians who were inspired by someone doesn’t mean I have to idolize the latter, especially considering that the intermediate musical and environmental passages are truly complex. To explain, my three favorite artists—singer-songwriter Tori Amos and the bands Tool and Iron Maiden—state that their favorite group growing up, and thus the one that influenced their music the most, were Led Zeppelin. Now, apart from the huge differences between the three, which makes one wonder, "Are you sure you listened to the same band?" when I listen to LZ, aside from a primordial respect due to their immense merits, I rarely feel moved. This naturally leads me to ask, "In what passages did this formation occur, and where does it come from that I like the so-called epigones more than the masters?" I could answer you in a thousand ways, talking about personal tastes, events, contemporaneity, etc., but I won’t do that to avoid boring the DeBaser people further. However, I suggest that all debates about who was more or less seminal are ultimately pointless because it is now understood that it is the combination of various musical movements—rather than one (or even a single artist)—that is decisive in creating new movements. So, whether you believe it or not, even bands like Queen or artists like Elton John (the case with Guns is a bit different, as it’s a rather calculated production, though I consider it valid) have been extremely influential in what we still listen to today. In short, I would suggest being a bit less dogmatic because otherwise, you risk coming off as somewhat pompous and excluding yourself from beautiful realities. Bye!
P.S. I know my argument is a bit convoluted, but if you need explanations, I’m here.

In fact, I haven't read the review (and therefore neither commented on it nor rated it, but I rarely give ratings to movie reviews). I simply limited myself to giving my personal (and thus debatable) opinion on the film that I unfortunately watched and on a director that I find boring, self-referential, and lacking talent (and, I add unfortunately, I've also seen the unbearable "Idioterne" and the pretentious "Le Onde del Destino," ending up giving the judgment expressed above).

Well done, Iside! I exceptionally rate the review as well because you deserve it.

No problem, I didn't doubt questioning this film but the underlying motivations; now you've explained yourself better. Anyway, my final phrase was a provocation, in the sense that I wanted to convey that lately there's too much of a stuck-up attitude on this site (I’m not referring to you, of course). Bye, :-)

Well, I'll tell you, every group has its more or less uncivil fans, and for Maiden it’s no different. However, that doesn’t mean you have to stoop to their level. Honestly, your comment about excited teenagers touched a nerve. I apologize if I overreacted, but I've been hearing certain discussions for twenty years, and they've started to irritate me. It's not pleasant to be called an excited teenager every time Maiden is mentioned. Anyway, I stand by my "teenage" tendency to protect Iron Maiden for very personal reasons of my own, but it’s far from my intention to be a proselytizer; that's never been my goal. Unfortunately, you happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, that’s all. Peace, we just misunderstood each other… happens. ;-)
