It's not from the comments received that one measures the quality of a review... don't worry! For once, I agree with Poletti on the fact that certain little films attract the masses more (and this goes for records too).

I don't have time to read all the discussion, which will certainly be interesting, but I have a question for the reviewer: Who is the most annoying coach in the world?

I'm intrigued, but I'm allergic to the national-popular Scamarcio. I'll brave the hives and go see it, given your positive opinion.

Well, we'll talk about it in a few years. In my opinion, what Opeth does is very self-indulgent and with an enormous sense of self-satisfaction that won't take them very far...

My God, Dave! Original Opeth.. honestly, you leave me speechless, and comparing a band that debuted in the mid-'90s proposing a tired and worn-out prog metal to another that is among the founders of the genre already in the late '70s and early '80s seems unfair to the latter.
Opeth are more standard than you think, at least now; imagine them in the early '80s and think about the impact that the early Maiden had as an innovation in sounds... come on, there's no comparison.
Of course, it's valid that you prefer Opeth more; I don't dispute that, but let's not change history... Iron Maiden will always propose the same genre (to be honest, I don't even think that's true), but at least they created this style for themselves. I honestly can't say the same for Opeth... that's all.
You and dear 47 are free to prefer the Swedes (if I’m not mistaken); that’s not the issue, I was just contesting certain rather hasty historical interpretations...

No, I don't agree. In my opinion, Opeth, Symphony X, Trivium, Mastodon, etc. are merely epigones, good technically but unable to create anything new other than rehashing already known mixed genres. I prefer the originals. As for emotionality, that's too personal; for example, Opeth says very little to me emotionally.

Anyway, I would really like to know what these Opeth have invented that are considered so essential, given that they just rehash a mix of genres (including Maiden and Metallica) that they certainly didn't create themselves... Oh well! Maybe technically they have something to say, but in terms of creativity, they also always propose the same clichés.
