Yes, but they are contemporaneous and probably influenced each other in style; as for technical ability, indeed, people like Lombardo and Menza appear superior even to me, but maybe it depends on personal preferences...

and the Metallica, but I don't know if Dave appreciates them that much... :-DDDD

The funny thing is that apart from the DT, you're probably listening to the same things ;-)

Honestly, usually you're the first to insult, but getting back to the point, you keep beating around the bush and since you said you're a musician, explain to me what musical content is lacking because so far you've been vague, saying it seems obvious, boring, etc. etc., and you must admit these are all subjective and not objective considerations...

Dear Lethe, I remind you that Ullrich made his debut in the early '80s (and his origins date back to the '70s), there weren't many drummers playing like him back then, right!

Dear Mauro: this is not acceptable, though. We're talking about a group you keep talking trash about, and as soon as you're cornered, you change the subject, talking about other artists and casting doubt on whether we even know who they are... come on... this is quite ungracious...

Dear Lethe, mine was prevention... I didn’t mean to be pedantic... Mataca', it may be but I don't do it on purpose... and anyway I already mentioned it in my second post (the thing about the provocateur, I mean...)

I invite dear Lethe and Dave not to become offensive: Dear Mauro, but then you contradict yourself, you just told me that it's the metal parts you don't like and now you say that at least it’s prog-metal. First of all, let’s say one thing about Prog: DT have only the structure and the construction of the songs, 90% of the sounds they use come from the Metal world. Now, if you say that Lars Ulrich is a mundane drummer, there are two possibilities: A) you have only listened to the last three Metallica albums (and therefore not this one) B) it’s yet another provocation and you are a charming provocateur.
