So, in response to 47, I take the opportunity to remind Rivoli that the Cugini di Campagna are indeed a more mature listen, and to the Judge that it's not necessary for him to read every one of my comments since they are heavy for him. @47: I don't want to annoy anyone, let alone you, whom I respect (I would also respect the Judge but he has embarked on this personal battle in recent weeks with anyone who finds his comments a bit out of place when he should instead reciprocate the respect for the honesty seen in the amount of sycophants that circulate here and in the world in general). However, if we want to be precise, since February 13 of last year (that is, for 1 year), the reviews on Maiden are 20, an average of less than two per month (on DeBaser, an average of 333 reviews appear monthly... it must be truly disturbing for non-Maidenian users to have a frequency of 0.5%!) This average drops even further when considering the last nine months, where there are 11, of which three are mine (so you know who to unleash your crap on, at most). Now, I don’t want to conduct a statistical search on the quantity of actually useful reviews (that aren’t duplicates or otherwise; there are non-duplicated ones that are still useless), but I fear the numbers for any band or genre are fairly aligned with those of the Maiden, which, having a history of at least 30 reviewable items, rises to almost 1/3 (Is it a site for Free Reviews or not? Can one also review the entire discography or not? If not, those in charge should establish new rules). In comparison to DeBaser, this means that out of 17,000 reviews, based on the logics of uselessness (but being more kind because, damn, citizenship to respect others' tastes is a given here, so let's be optimistic), I should find a series of over 10 comments that are either ironically annoyed, which, over time, I remind you, if the type of jokes doesn't vary, it becomes tedious, or deliriously offensive on at least 10,000 reviews, of which at least 9,936 are not about Maiden. Does this happen? I honestly don’t want to check, but I really doubt it. I’m perfectly fine with the fact that Maiden are not liked (and rightly so; I don't think I've ever bothered anyone in cases of divergent musical views) and I'm perfectly fine if you want to put the double 1, go ahead. However, I don’t agree with the excuse used recently to justify the clear existing animosity. Most just want to be a pain for no reason (with little creativity, by the way), and if this is the motivation (and it is), I hope that this "wave" of Maiden reviews (hey, 4 in 15 days, what a squeezing of balls, huh!) develops in a more truly convinced manner because it seems to me that reality (and the figures) shows that the provocation has come from quite another side. Just don't read them; what does it take? You have another 17,000 to read... Look, I'll set a good example: I won't read them and I won't comment anymore either. Bye, dear!

I was indecisive until the last moment about whether to intervene on this page (or the other one about Maiden in HP) until now because I think I've already said what I think about it, but given the way things are developing, I'd like to add one thing: it's quite clear that what's happening is not natural. For months, there haven't been any reviews on Maiden except for two of mine and one by Bartle, and now suddenly, the apocalypse has unleashed with at least 6 in 10 days (if I'm not mistaken). I believe that if we take a moment to reflect (something we've been doing too little of on this site lately, and I include myself in that; way too little), we can grasp the underlying strangeness. There are three things: A) we are seriously witnessing a revenge from the aforementioned metal site (which may be the case if we notice that all the new reviews are written by newcomers, on DeB, or almost) B) certain frenzied (in tone) and disturbing (in motivation) comments left by detractors in previous reviews have triggered a counter-reaction from fans (i.e., sending bombastic reviews), which is also quite natural. C) this is the work of a multifake that is annoying both categories, the detractors for logical reasons and the fans because most of the reviews are written in a haphazard manner.

I don't want to share further thoughts in this context because besides being a waste of time, due to the low receptivity of many, I don't want to give ground to those who will misinterpret the meaning of my words, and that will surely happen. But I want to say a couple of very simple things: A) this album is not objectively bad; it might not be to everyone's taste (and that's fine), but with all due respect, none of those who have intervened here (for and against, including myself) are able to speak with objectivity. I don't know about other subjects, but certainly not about art and Music. B) @Metallaro: I have written 3 reviews on Maiden with two nicknames (this one and cptgaio) and I want retroactive recognition for C.U. for both (with the third nickname, I already have it for other reasons). I think I deserve it.
Best regards.

@Bartle: honestly, it seems to me that the problem you describe doesn't belong only to metal reviews but is a common trend on the site these days. Furthermore, my request wasn't to be lenient towards reviewers or those being reviewed—if a double 1 is warranted, it should be given—but rather to avoid being offensive, banal, and repetitive in negative comments, because, in my view, they are no longer entertaining, if they ever were. It also depends on what one understands by words like irony, sympathy, fun, etc. As for the idea that metal users interact little outside the genre, it may be a flaw, but it's better this way rather than ranting about other types of reviews, which unfortunately can't be said for other users. Cheers!

if you brought them down Gustavo you wouldn't have much to laugh about...
@Nick: if you say so, I have no reason not to believe you, I just have a different feeling that's all.

To summarize (since I've been long-winded as usual) and using clichés: the metalhead may be ignorant and ridiculous, but he wants to talk about music without being mocked or constantly offended, that's all. Just to talk about music calmly, as is allowed for fans of other genres on this site; too much is too much, and some have crossed the line for a while now.
