@Bartle: we agree on the strange attitude of the fans, but regarding the purely musical aspect, I’d like to point out, even though I’m not a huge fan of them either, that without Metallica (and others like Slayer, Testament, Megadeth, and to a lesser extent Anthrax), thrash probably wouldn't have become what it has... for better or for worse.
P.S. I’m doing well, thanks, aside from the work that will lead me to a lucid madness, how about you?

The speech by my friend Bartle is, as usual, enlightening: the funny thing is that the same Metallica fans complain about Maiden for doing the same things over and over (and I add, fortunately they do) while criticizing their favorites for having changed too much, a great example of consistency (and sorry if I bring out this word in these difficult DeTempi). As for the rest (now I speak directly to dear Bartle), I think you’re a bit too harsh on the 4 Horsemen who deserve some historical relevance, no matter what certain revisionist anti-postScaruffianiOndaRock critics may say... Going back to the topic, I’m convinced (even without having listened to it) that this will not be the album that will change (for better or worse) their career (if they ever needed it, given the 30,000 fans they gathered not long ago in Bologna as well as in many other concerts) in a show that even the most critical enemy of Hetfield and the others has defined as massive. Besides, it won’t be 10-15 more reviews (on the same album) out of a total of 20,000 on DeDataBaser that will ruin the Site. But this is an old statistical argument that you’re probably tired of addressing, so I won’t insist. An honest review in the way of approaching a logically coherent thread, as for the content, I don’t know because I haven’t listened to the album, but I still give my positive judgment. Mo.

Well, you complain about duplicates and then leave 106 comments (with over 700 views)... you really are just little chicks...

Well, oh my Trell, your "support" (in the review) was expressed with your comment and rating on post 4, so you can’t say that you were just a simple observer but that you took a stance, which isn’t a bad thing anyway.

Little Night Reflections: A) In my opinion, you are all taking topics that should be light-hearted way too seriously (which is why I visit the site in small doses): aside from praising the assassination of Lennon, with which I agree with the reviewer, but, if I may offer a friendly critique Supersoul, I find it a pretext in this case to express another type of discomfort, namely the lack of acceptance of others' criticisms (and I say this as a hypothesis and without wanting to polemicize). B) Regarding the "arrogant kids," the discourse is always the same: they’re perfectly fine as long as (and I’m not just talking about the reviewer but everyone) they express agreement, but they suddenly become ignorant when they say something that might offend tastes or more or less subjective assumptions (I’m 34 years old, so I’m not a kid and I have no various interests in defending the "category" of the current 15-20-25 year-olds). Among other things, I’ve noticed that these "twists" are not only about conflicts between "old" and "youngsters" but often also between "old" and "old," often leading to scenes of pure collective immaturity. C) I seriously think this is caused by the fact that the site has now become a "battlefield" to excel in dialectical wars or pure knowledge rather than serving the noble purpose of sharing words, works, and reviews... D) As for coherence, I think everyone knows where their own starts and ends, but often their presence (or absence) is misused: Debaser is not a coherent site by definition (otherwise, fakes, duplicate reviews, and other nonsense wouldn’t be allowed), but perhaps this is also its strength; of course, the world is full of people with bad intentions, and the Internet is somewhat of a mirror of that, and so DeB is a part of it. E) In my opinion, you listen to Maiden too little and think too much about metaphorically shoving it to each other... you should think more about Ammmorreee. No polemic whatsoever, but friendly. Mo.

Stoney, darling, the Maiden release an album every three years; if only the frequency were annual.
