You are not obliged to do anything, I just pointed out that writing "Sure, but who cares about this garbage, with the whole wave of masterpieces still to be discovered, why waste time on this crap?" is anything but taking the site lightly as you claim. To be clear, saying this and then not providing examples is an aggravating factor, not an excuse, but it's up to you. As for the "nothing personal," of course, I don't even know you, I just found (I think it's my right to point it out, just as it's yours to argue where you might) the statement in question to be somewhat unhappy (and not very sensible).

@XYZ: he was referring to you, and with all due respect, if you hang out at DeB for joking around with phrases like "Exactly, but who cares about this garbage, with all the masterpieces that are still out there to discover, why waste time on this crap?" which implies not a "light" reader attitude but rather a (hyper)critical and somewhat pretentious one, allow me to say, I would avoid those comments and stick to reviews of artists that I consider "up to par," that's all. Best regards.
P.S: if you consider writing reviews a waste of time, frankly I wouldn't complain about the fact that "certain masterpieces" are missing. Everyone reviews what they think they have something to say about...

Bah, I wonder why usually those who complain about the lack of reviews on certain masterpieces (go figure what they would be...) end up with zero written reviews themselves... but that's their problem.
Getting back to the topic, dear Dream, honestly I don't feel comfortable defining AOR as a niche product; it simply had its time and squeezed the most it could out of it. There are genres (assuming AOR is one of them) that, due to varying degrees of catchiness, have never had the same exposure that, for example, the Survivor had in the '80s. The wind has simply changed, and as usual, it’s not necessarily the most beautiful things that remain but those that managed to be stacked away "in bundles" during lean times. That's all. Bye!

I would like to thank everyone present in this small piece of writing.

But you know, I'm convinced they would have disappeared anyway even if the following decade hadn't been so musically pessimistic unless they had found a way to write chart hits at least every two years (in AOR if you can't do that, you vanish) and I doubt it was in their capabilities, but that's how it is...

The main difference between "Watchmen" and "Maus" is that the former is (almost) exclusively known to comic book enthusiasts, on a global level but virtually only to them, while the latter is known even by those who usually snub comics. When it comes to importance, honestly, I can't (and I assure you I have plenty of experience in this regard) find a Graphic Novel that has impacted the history of literature in general more than this one. It wasn't a cover-up; I just wanted to make myself known at the release of HP to have a little fun, but I got distracted ;-) @Ole: weren’t we supposed to never meet again? ;-) (and may Battisti forgive me...)

Well, I wanted to post as CptGaio but I logged in incorrectly, I apologize...

Well, I wouldn’t call Blackfield’s albums school-like (among the few emotionally sincere things produced in these pseudo-cultured years). Out of all Wilson's projects, this one captivated me the least, but it’s still made with soul and heart (and that’s not something everyone can do, I repeat).

Yes, these are things that can be read in her autobiography "Piece by Piece" (in Italy released under the title "La Danza dell' Anima"), which I hadn't read yet at the time of the review (it might not have even been released yet), and therefore, despite the fact that the hypothesis you propose was the most plausible, I didn't dare to mention it, leaving the verdict in suspense (for posterity?). Anyway, I thank you for the clarification (which was necessary) and for the nice rating. Bye!
