Uh, what a layout... I wrote directly on the DeB space (I swear). I thank the two commentators. @New: no, no... I don't use it for any reason other than reading ;-). Anyway, trying (I) to stay serious for a second, this is a publication of objective value (beyond even its comic book aspects): here in Italy, we still haven't fully realized the cultural impact that Amos has had on an entire generation and, in many ways, continues to have in the States (but also in Europe in countries like Germany or the United Kingdom) remaining anchored to the surface of the Poprock singer-songwriter: something I find demeaning. This anthology (which in its genesis was not initiated by Amos, who was consulted afterward) is one of the proofs of that.
@Trota: dunno... so far, so good :-D

between "because" and "second" there's a "not" that shouldn't be there, sorry.

@Pi-Airot: Indeed, in Italy there has been confusion between the left and communism, but that's because the latter has never been in power (nor has the former until D'Alema, to be honest, unless we consider Craxi leftist...). Therefore, discussing what could have happened is quite speculative (especially since no European state within the Soviet sphere ever developed a form of democratic socialism; the only one, the Czechoslovak model, was crushed in blood, and it’s unclear how a potential Italian People's Republic could have been). This isn’t to criticize your neighbor (may his soul rest in peace) but rather that unfortunate habit of viewing things from only one side. As if there were a world of bad people and one of good: this is, I suppose, the flaw of this book, but I also find it in phrases like "we were democratic, they wouldn’t have been," because, in fact, we have not had evidence for the first part of that statement (of the second, we unfortunately have, but that's another story).

I would have even given an extra dot.

Well, the fact that the first 4 albums are on a completely different level is objectively true. What I wanted to point out, however, is that those who say Amos is "finished" in the latest albums are at least exaggerating. That's all. Thank you for stopping by.

Well, to say that LZ and DP were simple and traditionalists seems a bit questionable...

If I may make an observation about the phrase from Pi-Airot's neighbor, I would like to say that at the end of the day, we can't even know (besides the fact that, as history teaches us, one should not speculate with "ifs" and "buts") whether a communist government in power in Italy at the end of the war would have allowed the formation of opposing parties, because in fact, true communism (I mean the Soviet-style, speaking of one of the winning powers) never actually took power in our country. Then, of course, your neighbor was referring to the partisans in general (who were not all communists, I remind you, but political differences were smoothed over by having a common enemy), the discourse changes, but I have a gut feeling that with that "We won in '45," what is meant is a solid red color...
That being said, the book starts from a wrong concept: assigning a color to the victims, which is absolutely ridiculous.
