Well, let’s just call them artists ;-) Anyway, what I meant by calling him "minor" didn't pertain strictly to the artistic field but was more about impact (both in terms of criticism and, albeit harder to classify, popular appeal), and I would agree that from this perspective the adjective fits. Anyway, it's clear that you're young: Igor Protti, and the old-timers from DeB would agree with me, was a great player (I remember he became the top scorer in that Bari team that finished last). He was just unfortunate later in his career, with injuries and other issues ;-)

You chose one of Celine's "minor" works and, all in all, one of the few that doesn’t have much to say about it unless you paraphrase it (and for that, your non-review is commendable). I agree he is one of the greatest writers of the 20th century, but not the greatest (in my opinion, of course). "Journey to the End of the Night" is his masterpiece, but not for its literary value per se ("Death on Credit" and the Northern Trilogy are at the same, very high, level in this respect) but for its ability to encapsulate all the main themes that dominated the short century, something that, in his other works (in my opinion, always), he managed to do less effectively. Good job, Ale’.

Miller has certainly done better, but this comic, for its graphic rendering, remains an experience to "live," and the story as well (provided it's not taken as a historiographical account, as it is exactly the opposite of the author's intentions). The review somewhat loses itself in comparisons with the film, but overall it's not bad (even though it exaggerates a bit with the triumphalist tones: the true masterpieces of comics are elsewhere).

Thank you, Kosmo, very kind! Yes, I wrote directly on the DeB page because some time ago you had already "caught" me ;-) for my reviews coming in full of tags (I was using Open Office), so I got into the habit of writing them directly and then copying them for my own record elsewhere, so I don’t even know what to tell you about what happened except to apologize for the inconvenience. Bye!
