Haruki Murakami Noruwei No Mori (Norwegian Wood-Tokyo Blues)

@Fusi: Well, it's not that the book contains a praise for the Beatles but generally for all the music of those years: I think the author chose a song he particularly liked and that's it. @Hell: Danke! @Mike: I think your memory is playing tricks on you ;-) Adolescence is not described as a golden age, quite the opposite... as for the rest, the book basically begins with a suicide without explanations; it's the spark from which the story unfolds. "Tokyo Decadence," on the other hand, I liked. Hello everyone and thanks!

Ps. The Prodigy were indeed important: this is coming from someone who was in England during those years for quite some time.

No Madcat, objectively "Parklife" wasn't important at all in English rock because it didn't bring anything musically new. Maybe from a cultural standpoint, the Oasis-Blur debate was an important moment for British showbiz, but it ends there: just a matter of image and that's it. If Albarn is remembered, it will be only for this and not for his music. Bye.

I fully quote S4. @Madcat: well, if you don't think so then change everything... ;-) This sentence of yours confirms my comment 4. "Parklife" is already remembered only by you fans; just imagine what it will be like in a few years: it will remain just some extravagant idea (of fashion) from Mr. Albarn but nothing of his musical work. Although I'm not exactly a fan of Radiohead, I fear that even their less successful albums will stay in the collective memory for a long time. As for groups in general, apart from confirming S4's list and adding Underworld, you didn't make any distinction of genre in your initial sentence, so they fit into a hypothetical list.

Damn! Do I have to wait 5 years for another one of your opinions? ;-)

Mmm, I’m not sure if a review like this was necessary to understand the "depth" of the artist in question. Honestly, I find the reviews with unrestrained praise written by various fakes or fakes of fakes or fakes of fakes of fakes and so on in an endless inflationary spiral way more entertaining; then again, it's a matter of taste. But beyond that, I see nothing wrong in making a duplicate, I prefer those who embrace lost causes. No offense intended, of course, but I don't feel like giving my usual double 5 in this case... ;-)

PS. I must have messed something up while writing it (even though I did it directly on the DeB page). I apologize for the terrible formatting.
