Lux, aside from the fact that the conversation wasn’t about you (I'm only realizing now that you had passed by too), it was meant to be interpreted in a general sense (and anyway you didn’t get it, please read again) I believe you are the last user who can afford to talk about "one should ask a person what their standards of beauty and ugliness are" since you never do that with others and only consider your own as valid: you’re free to do so, of course, but let’s avoid unnecessary hypocrisy. Well, if no one ever starts to make a bit of bam bam, all (and I mean all, not just those on this record) hidden Italian realities will remain hidden, indeed. With this album, does Agnelli want to promote himself? It could be, in fact, it surely is, but at least he's trying to make a bit of "noise" (and if he succeeds, maybe someone else will follow his example) yet no, he has to be ostracized because "it's not honest" (I'd love to know these parameters of honesty...). The point is that the problem is always the same: there are too many people who use music to define themselves, and as soon as someone becomes a little bit popular they're immediately labeled as "shit." The truth is that the average Italian music listener (let's call it that) enjoys feeling lonely and marginalized, and the artistic side ends up taking a back seat. The curious thing is that this very same average listener believes they are supporting the logic of "being," when in reality they're just playing the game of "appearing": perhaps more poetic and tormented, but they still remain a poser ("as you young folks say").

Sentence, don't worry about the average but about the specific weight of things ;-)
