what strange timing for this revival... freestyler-rockthemicrophone is the ringtone of a nearby desk mate here in the office and besides pleasantly disturbing, especially compared to the horror average of other sounds coming from similar gadgets, by now, I don’t know if it's because he lets the phone ring or because he has the song on his PC, it has practically become a gong on Fridays to mark the moment of escape!

aaaargh I just realized that I have the RSS feed of Rivo's blog among my bookmarks, I need to remove it immediately before things get ugly!

And since that occasion, Edolo is better known as Eolo... sorry for the silly joke, but I couldn't resist ;) and now I'm going back to humming... I just don't know... I just don't know... me and the farmer like brother like sister...

You're right k, now that I think about it, my 5 on the album is more emotional than anything else and comes exactly from what you just wrote.

Good job Lukin, nice catch, I had met the guitarist at Disturbed Frequencies '03 (in the sense that he knew how to reach the fortress and I was already out of breath from the ten wrong climbs and was stopping anyone passing by for info), later I got interested and followed one of their concerts supporting GdM and got Soundproof, really good even live.
@trell: on their website there are several mp3s available for download: link rotto
By the way, they also manage the webzine Post-it Rock: link rotto

it's a shame that this album needs to be "recovered" in comparison with more recent ones, and that one might notice a "staring at the sun" because in the rip-off -I don't know how intentional- carried out by Gorillaz in "feel good inc." it sounds better.
It seems, however, that Bono has expressed a desire to record it again, stripping away some of the excess sonic fat, which is innovative for the band, but -as you rightly note- unlike what is present in Achtung Baby, it is decidedly derivative compared to the sounds of the time (Massive Attack, Prodigy...)
The cleaning up of the sound has, by the way, already been partially done in the edits of the singles included in the best of.
Amari Grand Master Mogol

And in the end, I arrived late with the review, but that's for the best... Tomorrow evening, October 1st, Amari will be in concert in Milan during the Audiovisiva 2004 event near the moats of Sforza Castle - no title I won't be there on purpose because I'm in Udine, their hometown, but if anyone is interested, they assured me that - quote - "live they are crazy."
