I wouldn’t call it a copy; it was a rather obvious sample, but I’d say it was placed just right. As for who deserves credit for the song, that’s up to you... just look at De La Soul’s "Say No Go"; the duo had plenty of material to sample... by the way, if I'm not mistaken, there was even a version of "Sunrise" that didn’t include the incriminating beat, but it was much weaker rhythmically. Sometimes, knowing how to place a sample correctly remains an art...

Nice report, precise and detailed. At this point, I regret not having attended the similar Sting concert in Milan, but I can't believe he was forced to perform the infamous duets mentioned (including "Desert Rose") or that the diva-like behaviors aimed at teenage girls and being a spokesperson for every anti-aging practice were imposed on him... he's really got very little brain left, but at least from what you say, it seems that instinct and memories of what has been prevail in live performances...
