I agree with you Riccardo, quite banal from a compositional point of view; but all in all the album is sufficient; I don't know why... the best track on the album (in fact, the only one worth saving, oh yes it's worth saving) is eruption; Van Halen is more than just a decent guitarist, he is technically a genius... but even here he uses the guitar in a very banal way, riffs repeated to the point of nausea and 30 seconds of solo... technique alone isn't enough...

I'm dead serious... I've been listening to at least a couple of new CDs every day for years... you can't really say I'm musically ignorant... I consider the Beatles a silly pop band just like Aqua or the Spice Girls; obviously Aqua has no musical merit... but I think this CD is very well done; unlike any of the Beatles' albums (since most of them are quite dreadful), even though Sgt Pepper's is actually a decent CD, a decent pop CD, but nothing special... this is better.
