Overall, an album that leaves much to be desired... like the rest of Howe's discography; an exceptional guitarist with brilliant insights, but in his albums, the truly interesting tracks don't exceed 30 - 40% of the total.

I have always found Mogwai to be a very interesting band and I have loved albums like "Rock Action" and "Mr. Beast." However, I find this album particularly empty, lacking memorable ideas... too hazy, verbose, it lacks concreteness... boring, in short.

Very beautiful and profound album, without "revolutionary pretensions" but strongly emotional... God is an Astronaut embodies one of the best examples of Anglo-Saxon Post-Rock. You could describe it a bit better... too concise!
