I wonder if today I would buy an album with such a cover ... ? ... who knows?
Arcade Fire Neon Bible

I listened to something from "Funeral" and I have to be honest... I don't find anything genius in their music; it can be liked or disliked, it can even be judged as "expressive"... but honestly nothing that hasn’t already been played before... so? Where’s the masterpiece? ... I don't know?

I mean, aside from the first and the last song... what’s in the middle? ... bye.

Partenopean and Perte-American ... aside from everything, let’s hope it’s a nice record ... it’s been a while since Pino has moved me; the album sounds good as you describe it, but you only focus on personal feelings and I didn’t really understand what I’m getting into by buying the album ... maybe the electronics fused with Pino Daniele's classic sound could give a burst of freshness to his music… who knows.
David Gilmour On an Island
Voto:
The album is really something that Gilmour should have kept in the drawer and played for a few friends... the fact is it's all a bit predictable (contrary to what you say, the sound of this album is very Floydian!!) ... Gilmour will never escape the ghost of Pink Floyd. The album itself is tremendously flat ... the beginning is deceptive because it starts off really well, but then .... ahhhh ... sleep takes over ... it's not conceptual ... it doesn't captivate you ... it doesn't sweeten you ... bah ... no emotion.

Damn, who are these guys? ... you've made me have an uncontrollable urge to listen to their music ... they must be very expressive, and those blends with classical music drive me insane (if done well...) ... anyway, the spirit of Prog will never die .. nothing but bullshit music ... without it, the world would have been a different place ...
Fabri Fibra Applausi Per Fibra

ahahah .. I couldn't get through all the comments ... anyway, Rap has become a commercial little thing for kids, it no longer has the cultural significance it was born with .. at least not the stuff that the media promote; in any case, it's just a mix of beats and phrases that have been written a million times before ... but if this is what people like .. (then we are really, really in trouble!!) ... it's time for these shitheads to stop acting like rock stars and go back to the toilet they came from ... don't buy these records anymore!!!
Kaki King ...Until We Felt Red

I must say that this album didn't captivate me initially, but having to review it, I listened to it much more intensely and deeply, and I noticed that indeed some tracks are truly expressive and made with "feeling," while others come off as palliative experiments. In any case, even if it's not a masterpiece, it's a CD worth listening to.
To HALL: if I've made you want to listen to this album, then I feel satisfied and have achieved my goal ... de-grazie a tutti.

Thank you for the positive votes on my review... it wasn't easy to write it for this album, I was also afraid of being too long so I cut back a bit on the track-by-track descriptions.
Verdena Il Suicidio Dei Samurai
Voto:
THE SUICIDE OF THE SAMURAI, in my opinion, is a decent album that seeks a "commercial" path... it somewhat tones down the harsher atmospheres of this band, reorganizes them, and makes them more catchy and accessible. I believe this latest work by Verdena cannot compare to the previous "Solo Un Grande Sasso," in which the band demonstrates a verve and a "naturalness" that is absent here... in any case, there are some very interesting tracks (including "Luna," which I think is one of the most genuine songs).
As for the lyrics... well, Verdena themselves have admitted that they do not attribute particular importance to the logical meaning of the sung phrases but mostly choose words based on their musicality, without becoming completely meaningless... rather, here and there we find some somewhat redundant phrases...
Verdena should be taken as they are; you either like their music or you can't stand it! ... sometimes with just a few notes and their disconnected lyrics, they are able to convey an energy that, frankly, is increasingly often missing from historic groups and sacred monsters of the hardest rock... let's wait for the next album and hope they've matured a bit but that they haven't lost their musical "sincerity"!
