A record that's strongly different from their previous ones, very personal, angry... there's everything inside it... Rock, grunge, prog, psychedelic, avant-garde, stoner, indie... a good job only occasionally marred by incomplete ideas or a few too many clichéd and simplistic riffs... I believe this is just a parenthesis and Verdena will transform again after this record... we'll see...

You were generous to give it 3 stars…. For me, MUSE are done… they have run out of the ideas that made them famous, they no longer know how to renew themselves, so they try with the new electro-pop influence (as you rightly say)… way too dance-oriented!!! … way too predictable!!!! … the album didn’t leave anything with me, in fact it almost caused me a sense of annoyance, the sound is gaudy!!

Can you put a sample mp3?? ... because apparently this album is practically unknown ... ??? I don't know?

I agree that to listen to this album you need a lot of open-mindedness... it’s also true that not everything that glitters is gold. PoS is a thrilling band... however, they should try to better solidify their ideas and aim to compose an album that will stand the test of time (because they have talent, and quite a bit of it!)... unfortunately, albums like "BE" and "Scarsick" come across as interesting, original, but not very impactful!... that’s the only flaw of this band.

It's not that different from "BE," is it?? ... I would say it's profoundly different!! ... this is a COURAGEOUS album that should be listened to without too many prejudices ... I find some tracks a bit "meager," but overall it's a good album ... terrible choice for the cover!!

Sorry ... I wanted to give a 3 to your review ... a bit poor...

The first track is fabulous, Jon's voice has never been so "attractive"... a true masterpiece... the rest of the album can almost be thrown away (only salvaging a few brilliant parts in the 4th track!)... I don't know why this work comes across as so empty and devoid of meaningful ideas... the fact remains that it certainly hasn’t become the gem that Yes would have hoped it would be... much of the criticism around this album states that it is pretentious and immature... in fact, they could have waited a bit longer before recording this album; had they had clearer ideas, it could have become a true masterpiece in the history of symphonic prog.

I consider this one of the ten most beautiful albums ever produced in the entire history of rock... in the title track, the part with just vocals and keyboards is tear-jerking... Yes were truly a brilliant band and (along with Genesis) real icons of Symphonic Prog. Listening to them has forever changed my way of conceiving music.
