No group, in my opinion, will make rock history anymore... and we could say this again in 50 years... let's not rush!! ... let's enjoy good music! ... Verdena is too difficult, you need to have the same mindset to understand their ideas (they're certainly not intellectuals as a band... but they are genuine!) ... just leave it! ... Verdena is a band with guts, watch them LIVE!!! ... they'll grow even more... give time to time, nobody is born learned!

The album may seem a bit ugly to newcomers of this band... I also thought it was inferior to their previous works; however, since I witnessed the band play it live, I understood the true strength of this album! ... it is completely sacrilegious, an eternal condemnation of modern society seen through the eyes of the "sensitive" Alberto Ferrari (leader of Verdena, as well as the author of the lyrics and practically all the songs). The sense of disorientation that emerges from every track, the violence with which it contrasts the banality of a society without ideas, the disgust for fashion, fitness, imaginary love... the awareness that we live in an era where problems are larger than us, and to the eyes of the "gentle" they seem hopeless... thus, Verdena play a Requiem for all of this, convinced that only death is the necessary way to erase everything and start anew according to different principles... a bit like tearing away a page that has been too scribbled on! The sound is meticulously crafted to express the essence of these ideas, and Verdena has fully succeeded in destroying the common sense of musical taste... a real punch in the face... a challenging album!

I listened to the CD. ... I have to say there’s a nice fantasy and a unique sound, I like the guitarist's ideas (he plays everything using tapping!!!) ... but the inexperience that spills out from everywhere is evident ... it's not a mature record and their sound is nice but really far from being polished, defined, and mature ... they still have a long way to go!!!
Damn, but the drummer misses some ridiculous off-beats!!!!! ... he needs to practice more!!!!
Good ideas but they often repeat too much in the various tracks!! ... it’s pleasant music but nothing more ... it lacks compositional depth, even though the sound, I repeat, I really like!
(Some effects here and there could be used by the guitarist... but maybe he doesn't have them!)

What can you do, certain gratuitous violence disgusts me a little; Listen to SCARSICK, the latest work by PAIN OF SALVATION... there, the violence is present but it’s justified. The same goes for TARANTINO's movies... I consider them on par with BRUTAL, a pure mental masturbation...
