... unfortunately, it's the only album by "Explosions in the Sky" that just didn't move me ... maybe it's due to the aforementioned predictability of their music ... but the sound isn't that captivating either ... sigh ... I'll listen to it more closely ... but in the meantime, I'll enjoy their past works.

I practically don't agree with a single phrase of this review... tastes are tastes, but one must be objective. The Mars Volta, talented for sure... but quite inconclusive in "Amputechture" and leave a bitter taste in this latest work, even though at times it is much more interesting than the previous ones. The album isn’t the highlight of their discography, but it contains tracks that will later be recorded on their great and historic "Live," such as "Man in the Box" and "Love, Hate, Love," which really hit much harder live!! The true genius style of AIC will manifest in the albums "Dirt" and "Alice in Chains," which will forever remain in history and in my heart.
