and moreover: try to revisit the footage and cartoons from the film created by that "despot" Roger Waters (because they originated from his mind). How can one not understand that The Wall is a complete work, in all its facets? Who, in music, hasn't tried to emulate such a comprehensive idea? Then, if The Wall is thought of as a millennium bug... well, do as you wish... for me, it remains the offspring of a brilliant mind that does not confine itself to the form of a "song" but seeks new ways of communication. From there onward... "the copied." PS: everything I have written is my personal license... just like my very personal taste. Bye and sorry for the rant. :)

Hi Hal, as often happens, I feel in tune with your thoughts. Personally, I adore Waters and that’s why I refrained from making judgments. I find it interesting to read a critique of The Wall... but I don't think one can argue that this album has set a precedent. And if it hasn't set a precedent in music, it certainly has with its lyrics. Today many bands talk about alienation, marginalization, and the like. Let's not forget how a teenager feels towards the world... hell, we've all been there, or almost all of us. Moreover, let's not forget that this album is complemented by a De Palma film that visually represents what is portrayed in the album. Finally, let’s not overlook the theatricality of the concert. The Wall is not just a simple album... The Wall is so much more, a way of life.... it makes no sense to take pieces from such an album. The Wall must be experienced in its visual-musical entirety.

interesting review, even if not very, very shareable. I find it immensely right to express favorable or unfavorable opinions about an album. After this premise, you won't tear me to pieces if I assert that this album is a masterpiece. If you do tear me apart... well, in Rome we say ciccia!!! From my point of view, it is one of the few albums in the world that has circulated in every home in Europe and perhaps beyond... much beyond. Few LPs can boast such success. Furthermore, I find it interesting to point out certain topics as Waters does... it seems to me that since then the world hasn't changed that much! Or has it? A hug, Logic :)

OK, you won Perez. I ordered the limited edition CD (that is, double CD: 1 CD with the album as you reviewed it; 2 CD with new tracks and reinterpretations mixing ambient and electronics from the tracks on the record). Not bad at all. The first tracks on the second CD are very interesting...where Klimt tries to step outside the rock canon (a bit more experimentation that doesn’t hurt, indeed it tickles the palate). NEVER UNDERRATE THE ITALIANS! In this regard, I also want to point out NOSOUND-SOL29 (a one-man band from Rome) which I have already reviewed and I added some samples....WE MUST SUPPORT THESE BANDS....DON'T YOU THINK? Now I can vote for you.

in my opinion, the true spiritual fathers of Porcupine Tree (my favorite band) are alongside Pink Floyd. ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL album!!! ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL!!! Great review Music and a great proposal. By the way, the new VDGG album has been released, a double cd that, however, does not live up to this work... I don't know, it sounds a bit like: "after all, it was nice when we played together, let's get back to playing like old friends" (the VDGG speak in Roman dialect, I swear :) ). the first cd consists of brand new tracks, the second is all studio improvisation. At Music, your review is one of my favorites. Bye Logic :)
