No Hal, I don't own what you wrote to me (you know these CDs are hard to find! Caz (and I'm not referring to Caz!). Someone also recommended the Pineapple Thief to me. Do you know anything about them? And most importantly, where can you buy them? For the name, it seems to me that what Hal wrote is correct. Cheers, Cheers.

Not a bad album, it’s pleasant to listen to and nothing more. Definitely not very intense. The Mari, unfortunately, have let themselves be too influenced by Emi during their career and have made albums tailored for the market. This choice is frustrating, especially since there are talented people among the Mari (but they haven't put in much effort). An album to be revisited only for the ballads and then it's done. In my player, Brave and Marbles are spinning, (mr H) and a good part of Fish's production (I repeat, she camaleon is fabulous... but don't ask me why). :)

Wow, I didn't realize you had reviewed Holiday... I'm reading it now and will take action right away. As for the film's authorship... well, it doesn't really matter. The movie is still very interesting :).
I’d be curious to know the sales data for the album; do you have any information on that? Greetings from the hollow man. :)

U2 All That You Can't Leave Behind

I remember this episode: I inserted the CD into the player and waited to feel that thrill (U2 was the starting group for my listening experience back in the distant '80s)... and I waited and waited and waited some more... nothing, nothing, NOTHING. An album comparable to Oasis's production... catchy tunes and screams... Boy feels like it's years away, and U2, now tired, produce the most pointless album (in my opinion) of their discography. I'm sorry, nothing personal, but there's music out there that can evoke emotions and communicate so much more than this album. :)

First ehehehe. I knew you would write this review sooner or later. Excellent and flawless. Anyway, it seems to me that it wasn't Marillion proposing a film related to the album, but a director (whose name escapes me) who, struck by the story, wanted to translate the mix into images (from which the videos of the standout tracks are then taken). A wonderful concept album, probably the true masterpiece of Marillion's production. The albums that will follow won’t replicate this… at least until Marbles, which doesn’t reach the grandeur of Brave. Great review... definitely among my immediate favorites. :)

Ps: for the more controversial....efrim refers me to Waters in the lyrics. :)

Ah dear Hal, the chronicle of an announced review :). This album is a beautiful punch in the stomach. Efrim brings me back to the darker and more worn Waters, and, in my humble opinion, carries on the legacy of Pink Floyd...experimental in music, monumental in arrangements, minimalist and hallucinatory. Dear Hal, what can I say...you stole the review from me, and out of revenge, I’m putting you among my favorites. Bye Hal :)

Sorry guys, but confusing glam rock with being homosexual!!... I wouldn’t be so sure that David Batt, also known as Sylvian, is homosexual! On the contrary, he is happily married to Ingrid Chavez (who is anything but a viados, a trans, or a man). And then… it's Sylvian's art that interests me. Let's not discredit the human being. Example: Leonardo Da Vinci was a genius who will be remembered for his ingenuity and not because he was homosexual!

Sorry for the interruption, I just wanted to reiterate a point I believe was already made by Zion: it is not necessary to write excessive reviews of the same album! Debaser is an "open" site, and this means that those interested in the album, as Raziel rightly points out, can find information and read about the album they intend to buy or listen to. However, after each review, there is ample space left for comments from those who appreciate the work in question and from its detractors. In this sense, it becomes frustrating to sift through all the scattered comments around the site regarding the numerous reviews of the same album. It is more useful to deepen the review with comments than to write new ones (which, let’s be honest, in the end, are hardly ever read).
