this is one of his albums that I like less. The lyrics are highly poetic, but the music is too redundant and pompous... and then the excessive sense of pain and heaviness that permeates the songs exhausts me... if I'm not mistaken, even De André later renounced this album, not performing any songs from it in live shows!!!! Anyway, De André was not a poet, but a great songwriter, which is different... I don't like this generalization that some singer-songwriters are also poets... THEY ARE TWO DISTINCT WORLDS!!!!
