ADVENTURE IN DURANGO was better off not being translated at all and therefore recorded!!! What DESIRE has is a whole other story!! Volume 8 cannot be compared to Rimini!

Moreover, I respect Dying Sun's reply and what he thinks about this album, but I still say that TUTTI MORIMMO A STENTO is the LEAST SUCCESSFUL and MOST PRETENTIOUS album he has ever made.

Moreover, just look at the credits in the booklets of his albums to understand that I am right when I speak this way. The covers of Brassens, Dylan, and Cohen, not to mention the adaptations of popular songs from past centuries, don't seem to me to be HIS songs, but REWORKINGS, which is different!! I admire De André, I don't want to offend a great artist and man, but this is a PURE and SIMPLE OBSERVATION OF REALITY!!! Lastly, I don't mind listening to De Gregori at all, especially because it's by listening to him that I liked him right away, and that's why I say he is the greatest!! Moreover, De André once said while bringing De Gregori to Nanni Ricordi these words: "IF I AM HIGH SCHOOL, HE IS UNIVERSITY!!": I don't mind listening to De Gregori and it seems it didn't hurt De André either!! (The phrase I quoted is taken from "QUELLO CHE NON SO LO SO CANTARE" by Enrico Deregibus, a delightful book that I recommend reading to you, Tom Traubert, and also to Dying Sun, so you can see that De André truly said that De Gregori was the greatest, even more than himself!!

RIMINI is a mediocre album because it was written with a mediocre artist like BUBOLA!!! Let's be clear, only Andrea, Sally, and Rimini stand out!! The rest are little songs with quite marked drops in tone in the lyrics that don't deserve much praise!!! De André has done better, and this album is one of the worst.

I wasn't referring to crap like Gigi D'Alessio, DJ Francesco as you say, who are pathetic mediocre hacks! I was talking about the great Italian singer-songwriters such as De Gregori, De André, Guccini, and a few others (Conte, Fossati...): indeed they all write their own lyrics and music and create beautiful albums and other masterpieces. De André produced masterpieces like La buona novella, Non al denaro, Storia di un impiegato, VOLUME 8, Creuza de ma, and Anime salve, with the decisive if not superior contribution of other artists or rather of major sources which are the APOCRYPHAL GOSPELS (FROM WHICH HE ALSO COPIED), SPOON RIVER, BENTIVOGLIO, PIOVANI, DANE', FOSSATI, PAGANI, and DE GREGORI from whom, in my opinion, he was most influenced, as he himself stated!! In short, collaborating with others for me means a lack of self-confidence and lack of inspiration!! It’s no coincidence that TUTTI MORIMMO A STENTO is almost entirely by De André and you can tell from the pedantic and enormously listless tone of this album which is bad and rejected even by its own author!!
