In the end, I read all of DeLo, and even the comments (well before the unnecessary comment n°65 from the delightful VandersuperPippa). I didn't want to have a serious discussion, and I won't. I'll just say gender equality? Do you really believe that?? And anyway, I already cook, set the table, clear the table, wash the dishes, and I'm also a very efficient housewife; the only difference is that my half apple (you have the half apple, for equal opportunities I have the half melo), instead of lounging on the couch doing nothing or burping while drinking beer, helps me around the house, and if he watches TV, he does it with me or with friends. How much I love EBTG, both in their smooth & cool version and in their pop & dance version. This one, perhaps from their latest phase, is the one I love the most. I still do dances that would make even Carrà proud at one of her best shows from the 80s! And it’s a classic for certain evenings with friends, food, and alcohol...

I'm very curious, so I'll go and listen to it. I've always loved them to bits, always bringing the same enthusiasm to every outing; it's obvious that now, seven years since the last one and after the genre has somewhat fallen by the wayside, one might feel a bit lukewarm about approaching their new work. However, I think it deserves a listen. The so-called Bristol Sound can't have the same impact it did at its debut, and that's natural, just as indie doesn't surprise as it did ten years ago. As for Portishead, 3rd is a commendable work, with some little gems; it's not a mess even if it lacks the polish of their first album, but then again…
